Slide Welcome

Welcome

Hollingworth School is a great place to be; with a friendly atmosphere, hardworking and well behaved children, dedicated and talented staff, and an interested, supportive community. We pride ourselves in providing opportunities for all our pupils to achieve their full potential educationally, emotionally and socially. Our Ofsted inspection recognised that good care, guidance and support ensure that pupils feel safe, behave well and gain a good understanding of healthy lifestyles.

We are a long established school, having reached our centenary year in 2009, and are committed to the principles of healthy, active and environmentally ‘friendly’ living. The school has an active School Council, which provides a voice for all children throughout the school. We also hold Healthy School status; we regularly support the work of charities – both local and national.

We have an active and very supportive PTA, and an equally proactive Governing Body that works positively in the best interests of the children of the school.

Where children enjoy learning

Mission Statement

Respect each other, take responsibility, realise your dreams.

The mission statement represents the principles that we strive towards and our vision demonstrates how we put these aims into practice.

Vision Statement

To provide an inspirational, positive and welcoming environment where there is a sense of pride and pleasure in learning.  Where everyone works together with confidence, enthusiasm and mutual respect.

To be an inclusive school and offer equal opportunities to all.

To promote and achieve high standards by nurturing academic, spiritual and social development in a caring and professional manner so that our children acquire the skills and mind-set to thrive as a life-long, independent learner.

To empower children to embrace learning, strive for excellence, develop resilience and build their emotional, social and physical well-being.

To ensure that children are provided with high quality, challenging learning experiences based on a broad and balanced curriculum.
