Children must have PE kit at school for every lesson. Please keep it in school and take home to wash at the end of each term.
Plain white t-shirt, black shorts, black pumps. Please label each item with your child’s name.
Class Targets
Will be in reading diaries after the first week of each half term (starting from after the October half term). Please read the latest and discuss with your child what theirs are and how they can work towards them. These are set by the children following class discussions at the end of each half term.
English
This term we will be learning to write 2 different texts informed by:
Theseus and the minotaur – Narrative
The Street beneath my feet – Explanation
Our class book is Farm Boy by Michael Morpurgo.
Having completed Farm Boy, we will be reading a variety of Greek myths.
Maths
During the Summer 1 half term, we are focusing on:
Properties of shapes – angles, parallel & perpendicular, 2D and 3D shapes
Measurement and capacity – mass, volume and temperature
Topics
Our history topic for this term is Ancient Greece.

Homework Days
Homework is handed out on a Friday. Children will write these in their diaries. Each week the Homework will be Times Tables Rock Stars, IXL Maths and a given list of spellings to learn through play on EdShed.

If you have any time to spare and would like to offer your services in Year 3 please contact Mrs Tickle or Mrs Diggle to make the necessary arrangements. Your help will always be welcomed.
